I don't know what was in the air this morning, but I was timing things perfectly on the ride in. For some reason everyone and their brother was up early and on the roads. There was bumper to bumper traffic on Twin Oaks; Twin Oaks!!! There's never any traffic on Twin Oaks! The only thing on Twin Oaks is Portage Country Club, and there's hardly anyone there at 7:00am. However, this morning it was packing them in. It must have been the sunshine and 60 degrees.
I had my first crazy person encounter of the season on Byers St. The guy was wearing three coats and two stocking hats (I did mention that it was 60, right?) and singing at the top of his lungs while walking down the middle of the road. That was one of those times I opted for the sidewalk.
Oh, and there was the squirrel on Highland. He went left, he went right, he zig-zagged down the middle...what the heck is the matter with those things?
Lastly as I wheeled into the parking lot, I was dive bombed by birds. Its a good thing I was wearing a helmet.
I tell ya.
I can't wait to see what the ride home will entail.
