Very Special Bonus Post!

I will not be updating Back On Two Wheels tomorrow because I will be saving the planet.  I hope we're spared all the predicted rain because, well, Mother Earth, we're giving you a hand here.  Please cut us a break.  Furthermore, I will be out gallivanting this evening on my bicycle and do not want to waste this somewhat pleasant weather sitting at the computer.

Anyhoo, in order to make it up to all of you who will, no doubt, be mourning my absence I present you with not one but two free presents!

Introducing the first, totally free, downloadable, handy, dandy and official Back On Two Wheels publications!

The first is entitled "Know The Law."  It contains all the chapters in the Ohio Revised Code that refer to riding a bicycle on the road!  Just so you know, you can find the same list through the Ohio Bicycle Federation.  The difference is, I don't provide my interpretation of the laws in this booklet.  The guys at the OBF did such a wonderful job of that, I didn't see the point in doing it again.  Please go to their digest available here for all the ins and outs.

While there are several files and books available out there which are great for instruction, I just wanted the laws.  I couldn't find a concise document, so I decided to make one.  You're welcome to it as well.  Its completely free and available right here at Back On Two Wheels.  You will always be able to find it since it is listed under "Pages" on the right of this page.

The second document is the quick guide to the bicycle laws.  Its just a single sided document designed so that you can keep it with you on your bike if you desire.  It only references the issues I usually address for friends and family such as helmet laws, taking the lane, etc.  It obviously doesn't list all the laws.  That's what "Know The Law" is for.  This document is also free and available to download right here at Back On Two Wheels and can be found directly on the right of this page.

To download the documents you either need to login with Facebook or create an account with Scribd.  Don't worry, all of that is free and takes only a couple of minutes.

I hope you like and find a use for them.

Pedal safe and have a fabulous weekend!
