Shifting Positions

This is not going to be on bikes, because, like I said, I haven't ridden mine in a week.  This is going to be on social networking (with just a dash of bikes).

I'm in the process of moving over to Google+ and away from Facebook, consolidating old email accounts, and purging contact lists.  So far, its been a two day process.  Nothing integrates with anything else, so most of the sorting and deleting and circling has to be done by hand.

As I've spent time working with Facebook, its become more and more of a hassle.  The security changes happen why too often, I don't trust it, and, quite frankly, I'm not really interested in what's in my feed.  Through Twitter, I've come in contact with people I actually enjoy being connected with.  The cycling community is really strong on there, and it has been a wonderful source of encouragement.  So, when Google+ came along, I was pumped to be able to connect with the Tweeps beyond 140 characters.  Plus, making the switch also provides the opportunity to purge the "friends" a bit.  Anyway, its been an enjoyable, if laborious task.

Thoughts?  Have you joined Google+ and if so, what do you think of it so far?  Will you be migrating away from other social networks?  Do you even care?

Do tell.
