Well, I'm happy to report that yesterday's French went much better. The teacher and I have come to an understanding that I am not a French genius and therefore cannot go plowing through the entire language in a week. After our first lesson, I spent the entire night in a dream world which resembled something like Cormac McCarthy's The Road with someone saying "Je suis" over and over again in the background. I was not enthused about two more weeks of Frenchpocalypse. However, after yesterday's lesson, I'm feeling much, much better. I guess learning French won't send me over the edge, after all. Not that it's suddenly easy...Heck no! The pronunciations, methinks, will remain a mystery for some time.
Anyway, its been a rainy week so far in AK-Rowdy, which means a lot of trainer time with the Revenio. Trainers, are, well, a little boring. But, I've come to view it as a blessing. It's a great opportunity to work on pedal strokes and such. It also means that I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn.
Surviving the Frenchpocalypse in the wee hours is, ya know, quite taxing.
