I'm pleased to announce that the Sauer's waters have receded and the paths are open again! Of course, that means we're back on schedule for our Saturday rides, especially since my battle wounds have healed up in time (well, I still have the giant 6x4cm bruise on my leg called Leg Nebula, but it looks worse than it is). Tomorrow's plan is to go southish, number one because we haven't been that way and number two because we want to scout out a good route for my husband to take to his office. He discovered that they have a shower and locker room so he will be able to commute by bike... finally.
Anyway, after being off my bike for a few days due to the beating I gave myself I was ready to get back in the swing of things Thursday. I also needed a good dose of motivation for the trainer rides (staring at the wall isn't that exciting). So, I dug through iTunes for something inspiring and came across Mozart's "O Fortuna." It seemed to go nicely with the town church bells that ring throughout the day. The following list is compiled around it. It's different from what I usually choose, but it certainly got the legs pumping. Enjoy, and if you have any additional suggestions I'd appreciate it.
1. Cemeteries of London- Coldplay (I find this to be a good warm up song)
2. Furious Angels- Rob Dougan
3. St. Matthew's Passion- E.S. Posthumus
4. Fraternity Suite- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to Wanted
5. O Fortuna- W.A. Mozart
6. Pompeii- E.S. Posthumus
7. Terra Firma (Lara's Mix)- Aude/Delerium (from the Tomb Raider Soundtrack)
8. End of All Things- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to The Lord Of The Rings The Return Of The King
9. Arise- E.S. Posthumus
10. Fever Dream- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to 300
11. Clubbed to Death- Rob Dougan
12. Requiem for a Tower- London Music Works (this is the reworked version of Clint Mansell's Lux Aeterna from Requiem for a Dream for the LOTR The Two Towers Trailer. I feel it has a little more oomph than the original.)
13. Nara (Theme from Cold Case)- E.S. Posthumus
14. Moonlight Sonata- E.S. Posthumus
